Charisma and athleticism are two words that come to mind when it comes to describing the ultimate English Performance horse. Quickly following those in no particular order are extreme motion, intelligence, and last but not least, beauty. However, speechless is probably the more accurate term when one comes across such an athlete the possesses all of these qualities. So speechless is how to best describe this unique Dutch Harness Horse Stallion... Bassani.
The Dutch Harness Horse, also known as Tuigpaards, have been bred in the Netherlands for centuries. Today's Dutch Harness Horse boasts limited blood from some of the greatest Hackney Horse and American Saddlebreds bloodlines from across the world. Through careful selection and testing, Dutch Harness Horses have been bred with a jury approval process; thus ensuring only the best individuals and genetics would be carried on.
In 2000, the first Dutch Harness Horses arrived in America taking the Arabian industry by storm. When crossed with the Arabian, the Dutch Harness Horse has afforded us the great prospect of producing a foal eligible for registration in the Half-Arabian Registry, thus opening the door for even more opportunities, shows, and the ability to compete with a truly extraordinary athlete. With the strength and movement of the Dutch Harness and the beauty and elegance of the Arabian, the resulting out cross have swept the English Performance divisions making them in high demand with clients and trainers of all levels.

Bassani is an prime example of what a quality Dutch Harness Horse Stallion should be. In 2006, Bassani made his first appearance at the National Show Horse Finals in the Renai Weanling Sweepstakes class. Judges noted at the time what an amazing, yet refined athlete Bassani was, and how they looked forward to his out cross to the Arabian breed. Now, four years later, under the guidance of Jason Chiles of Legend Hall Arabians, Bassani made his way back to Springfield, IL with his first offspring in tow. Bassani wowed the crowds as he warmed up with his quiet, yet explosive natural talent as an English Performance horse.
Like father, like daughter is a coined phrase all over the world, and that is definitely the case with Bassani's first Half Arabian / Half Dutch Harness Horse filly, Justified DDF. At first glance, Justified DDF is generally mistaken for a purebred Arabian filly. Her refined features and upright build made her an instant competitor, while her showy personality won the hearts of all who came to visit. Putting on a show with her perfect cadence and high motion, Justified did exactly as she was bred to do, justify her sire, Bassani.
